The project Pigeon started unintentionally when I first moved to Chicago. I was fascinated by these urban birds. After ignoring or putting off the project for other projects, I actively photographed pigeons in the fall of 2008. Although already having images for it, I shot every day I could. The project turned into an exploration of the life of pigeons, how they fit into the environment, and the interaction between humans, co-existing in Chicago. I took photos I didn't want to take, but I did knowing that it was a part of life, just as it is with humans.
I hope the project reinvents or changes your notions about pigeons.
