New Glarus, WI, is this quaint, adorable little town just a couple hours from the Iowa border. I have had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful brewery. It is nestled on the top of a hill, overlooking the town. This brewery is a must on your list. Not only do they make outstanding beer, they have self-guided tours, but the people are great. New Glarus is undoubtedly known for their fruit beers, and make no mistake, this beer is one of a kind. Rhubarb is not the easiest to work with, but the tart, sour flavors compliment the sweetness of the strawberries. The base of this beer is a sour brown ale, a little bit of Cascade hops are added, then fruit is added, and finally it sits in oak tanks for 6 weeks before it is bottled. New Glarus brewery will always be one of my favorite breweries, and this beer is definitely a summer favorite of mine! Cheers!
